NorthWord Leadership
NorthWord Church’s “POEs”
Our congregation sometimes affectionately refers to our church leaders as “POEs.” That acronym is short for Pastors, Overseers and Elders.
Clayton Grissinger, Teaching Pastor. I first felt the desire to pursue ministry while studying at Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado. After graduating, I went to Denver Seminary to earn a degree in theology. During that time, I met the people of NorthWord Church and during my final year became their pastor-intern while also teaching at a Christian elementary school in Denver for two years after graduation.
With much prayer, my wife, Bethanie, and I decided to pursue pastoral ministry. Once again, NorthWord Church came into our lives when the church leadership approached and retained me as Associate Pastor. Verse-by-verse teaching through the Bible along with doing life together are what matter most to Clayton and make NorthWord Church a place that I and my family love.
My hobbies include reading, being outside, and spending fun time with my wife and our children.
Ted Cox, Elder.

We have two grown children and have lived in Colorado Springs for the last 23 years. My wife, Peggy, and I have been attending NorthWord Church since its inception.
